Floor care: seven points of beauty

Cleaning Procedure

For daily maintenance, start by vacuuming the surface to remove dust and debris. Follow up with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a specialized cleaner or mild soap. When dealing with larger areas, a spray cleaner or rotary mop works well. Be cautious with natural lacquered solid wood floors, as excessive moisture can damage them. Always wring out your cleaning cloth to prevent pooling water. Stubborn marks like those from black rubber can often be wiped away using a soft cloth, low-concentration alcohol, or even a splash of white wine.

Maintenance Program

Natural Lacquered Flooring: After thorough cleaning, apply a diluted floor polish. If the floor sees heavy foot traffic, consider increasing the polish concentration. Typically, the living room might need maintenance monthly, whereas high-traffic zones like kitchens and hallways may require weekly upkeep.

Oiled Wax Flooring: Begin by ensuring the floor is spotless and completely dry. Apply a thin layer of light oil wax evenly across the surface, then buff it gently with a soft cloth until the shine is uniform. Avoid immediate use after application—let it air-dry overnight for optimal results.

Anti-Fouling Strategy

Natural Lacquered Flooring: If certain sections become tough to clean due to accumulated dirt, mix degreaser with warm water (around 25°C). Always ensure the floor is clean before introducing any chemical agents. For severely stained floors, consider lightly sanding and recoating, though this should only be done as a final option since sanding reduces the floor's thickness over time.

Oiled Wax Flooring: Large stains can sometimes be tackled using a sanding machine fitted with a dry soft polishing pad. This helps preserve the floor’s luster. However, this process needs to be completed within four hours of applying the light oil wax, followed by allowing the floor to air-dry naturally for 16-24 hours.

Wall Hung Smart Toilet

Wall hung smart toilets are truly state-of-the-art bathroom fixtures, offering a host of features to enhance the user experience and add a sense of luxury to the bathroom.

Space-Saving Design: These toilets mount to the wall, saving valuable bathroom floor space. This is especially practical for smaller bathrooms or if you prefer a more minimalist aesthetic.

Heated toilet seat: A cold toilet seat can be uncomfortable, especially during the colder months. Wall-mounted smart toilets usually come with a heated seat that can be adjusted to your preferred temperature for a comfortable experience.

Adjustable water temperature and pressure: These toilets often offer adjustable water temperature and pressure settings for the bidet function, which allows users to customize their cleaning experience to their liking.

Warm air drying: After using the bidet function, wall-mounted smart toilets often provide a warm air drying option. This eliminates the need for toilet paper and promotes a more hygienic and environmentally friendly method.

Additional features: Some wall-mounted smart toilets may include additional features such as built-in air purifiers, deodorizers, night lights, and even background music or Bluetooth connectivity.
