Solids can be added to paints to make flame retardant coatings, while liquids can be used to make a variety of cotton products, all aimed at flame retardant.

The wood board and a wooden strip coated with the flame retardant coating were tested for burning with a core gun having a core temperature of 1000 degrees Celsius. After burning for 10 minutes on the fire, the wood boards and the wood strips were not ignited, but gradually blackened, and almost no smoke. Excellent flame retardant performance.

At present, the product has applied for four national invention patents and one PCT international patent, and has entered the stage of market promotion. The library of the University of Science and Technology of China has taken the lead in testing the product, while the coal mines in Anhui and Sichuan are also ready for trial use. However, Wang Zhiyong said frankly that marketing still has a long way to go for this new product. This kind of environmentally-friendly flame retardant paint is about the same as the price of environmentally-friendly high-grade paint on the market.
