Abstract In accordance with the arrangements for the party's mass line education practice activities at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Henan University of Technology, the school has organized a series of learning and listening sessions to deepen the "four visits and four questions" research initiative. Recently, a group of faculty members and leadership from the school visited cities such as Xuchang, Sanmenxia, Pingdingshan, and Jiaozuo to conduct in-depth investigations and engage in extensive discussions with industry partners. These efforts aim to strengthen communication between the university and enterprises, improve the quality of talent training, and better align the curriculum with industry needs.
During the visit, the team conducted site inspections at several leading companies, including Dianchi Jinhua New Materials Co., Ltd., Xuchang Xinbang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Pingdingshan Yicheng New Materials Co., Ltd., Henan Feimeng Diamond Materials Co., Ltd., and Zhengzhou Hongji Abrasive Technology Co., Ltd. These visits provided valuable insights into the current demands of the industry and helped the college understand the challenges faced by graduates upon entering the workforce.
In the discussions held with company representatives, the leadership of the Materials Science and Engineering School shared detailed information about the college’s development strategies, academic programs, and student performance. They also discussed the expectations of employers regarding graduate skills and the gaps that still exist after students enter the job market. Based on these conversations, the companies offered numerous practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the college’s educational outcomes and strengthening its industry connections.
The leaders of the school expressed their appreciation for the feedback and emphasized that they will carefully review the suggestions, develop actionable plans, and implement effective measures to improve the quality of education and better meet the needs of the industry. This initiative not only fosters closer cooperation between the university and enterprises but also lays a solid foundation for future collaboration and mutual growth.
This visit is part of the broader effort to implement the mass line education program, which encourages active engagement with the community and industry stakeholders. By deepening these relationships, the school aims to enhance its reputation, improve its curriculum, and create more opportunities for students to succeed in their future careers.
