1. When installing plumbing lines, both horizontal and vertical pipes should be properly laid out. Hot and cold water pipes must be grooved separately, maintaining a distance of 10 to 15 cm between them. For longer pipe runs, use pipe clamps to secure the lines, with a spacing of no more than 1 meter between each clamp. This helps prevent vibration and movement caused by water flow, ensuring a stable and durable installation.
2. It's crucial to maintain a minimum clearance of 50 mm between water pipes and electrical or gas lines to avoid interference and potential safety hazards. If in doubt, always use a steel tape measure to verify the distances. Proper spacing ensures that all systems can function safely without affecting each other.
3. All water pipes should be fully enclosed before conducting a pressure test. Use a pressure pump to apply 8–10 MPa of pressure and hold it for at least 30 minutes. If the pressure drop is less than 0.05 MPa and there are no leaks, the system is consideredåˆæ ¼ (qualified). A significant drop indicates either a problem with the materials or the installation, requiring further inspection and correction.
4. Ensure that all water inlets, drainage points, joints, valves, fixtures, and pipe connections are tightly sealed and leak-free. This step is essential before proceeding to the next phase of construction, as any leakage can lead to serious issues later on, such as water damage or mold growth.
5. Before starting any construction work, it's recommended to temporarily seal any exposed drainage outlets, such as those from toilets or sinks. This prevents debris from entering the pipes and causing blockages, which could lead to costly repairs down the line.
6. In kitchens and bathrooms, it's best practice to install water pipes "above the ceiling" whenever possible. This makes future maintenance and repairs much easier, as the pipes are more accessible. It also helps avoid conflicts with neighbors, especially if a leak occurs and needs urgent attention.
Important! After completing the hydropower inspection, the contractor must provide a detailed layout map of the plumbing system. Keep this document safe, as it will be invaluable during any future repairs or modifications to the piping network.
