The reporter learned from the Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce yesterday that the bureau has recently tested the quality of flooring products in various markets in the province. The test results show that some of the wood flooring that claims to meet the "top international environmental standards" have a formaldehyde content that exceeds the national standard by 23 times.
Part of the floor formaldehyde exceeds 23 times
The Provincial Industry and Commerce Bureau conducted a random inspection of the blockboard, laminate flooring, plywood, medium density fiberboard, solid wood composite flooring and other products sold in the markets of Hefei, Lu'an, Huainan and Handan, and carried out provincial quality inspection.
Among the 39 samples sampled, 8 of them had excessive formaldehyde emission, mainly plywood and blockboard.
What the inspectors did not expect was that in this spot check, the products on the market marked as “E0 grade†(which met the international top environmental protection standards) had a formaldehyde emission of 12.2 mg/L, while the national standard specified E0. The formaldehyde emission of the grade product should be less than or equal to 0.5mg/L. The formaldehyde emission of this product has exceeded the national standard by 23 times.
It is understood that there are eight enterprises such as Hangzhou Dawang Coconut Wood Co., Ltd., Shuangyang Wood, and Innovative Wood.
Water heater products are fully qualified
In addition to the floor, the provincial industrial and commercial bureau also checked the steel, multimedia audio and video players, GPS navigators and water heaters. Eight out of the results of the random inspection of the steel bars were unqualified. The main unqualified items were the inner diameter, tensile strength, and weight deviation.
There are as many as 21 unqualified multimedia audio and video player products in the spot check, which poses a personal safety hazard to consumers. Among the most prominent problems are: "Can Europe" brand "HD300" model, "Xinke" brand "D1" model multimedia audio and video player.
There are 4 groups of products in the GPS Navigator that are unqualified. The main problem is that the GPS navigator is not qualified. Among the most prominent problems are: “Huixing Tianxia†brand, “e Luhang†brand “LH900S†model and “ETO Yitu†brand “GS-1001†model GPS navigator.
All kinds of water heater products that were spot-checked were all qualified.
