Acoustic emission signal analysis of diamond single crystal growth

At the 2012 China Superhard Materials Technology Development Forum, Liu Lei from the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering of Zhongyuan University of Technology made a technical report on "Analysis of Acoustic Emission Signals of Diamond Single Crystal Growth". Liu Lei's "Analysis of Acoustic Emission Signals of Diamond Single Crystal Growth" is summarized as follows: This paper uses acoustic emission technology to detect the growth process of artificial diamond single crystal under high temperature and high pressure, and uses fast Fourier transform and wavelet packet analysis. The collected acoustic emission signals are processed and analyzed. The results show that there is an intrinsic relationship between the acoustic emission signal and the growth process of diamond single crystal. The signal excited by diamond single crystal growth is mainly located in the frequency range greater than 80hHz. The dynamic variation characteristics of different frequency band signals on the time axis further illustrate the acoustic emission. The frequency of the signal can be used as an effective means to distinguish different acoustic emission modes during diamond growth. The acoustic emission technology can effectively collect the AE signal generated during the growth of the diamond single crystal. Through the data processing and analysis of the signal, it can be concluded that: (1) When there is no diamond single crystal growth, the frequency of the acoustic emission signal is mainly concentrated in the low frequency band of less than 80 Hz. When there is diamond single crystal growth, the frequency range is greater than 80 kHz. According to the comparative analysis, these newly emerging peaks are related to the growth of diamond single crystal. The above bytes are selected from the "Analysis of Acoustic Emission Signals of Diamond Single Crystal Growth", which is included in the "2012 China Superhard Materials Technology Development".
