On the 13th day of the first China Mahogany Furniture Expo and Chinese Household Products Exhibition, the event came to a close in Suzhou Park International Expo Center. Held from October 9th to 13th, 2013, this five-day exhibition was a vibrant showcase of mahogany furniture, classical craftsmanship, and traditional home goods. It offered a fresh and unique perspective on the industry, drawing attention from both professionals and enthusiasts.
One of the key highlights was the wide range of brands and products on display. The exhibition covered various genres, including mahogany furniture, art collections, household items, and accessories. With nearly 20,000 square meters of space and over 300 exhibitors, it was a major gathering of industry leaders. Companies like Shenzhen Youlian, Daguan, Beijing Yuanhengli, and many others showcased their finest works, making the event not only diverse but also highly influential.
The exhibition halls were designed with creativity and cultural depth in mind. Many exhibitors used natural elements such as greenery, white walls, and carved wooden fences to create an immersive atmosphere. Some even featured live performances, such as guzheng music and wood carving demonstrations, enhancing the visitor experience. One standout moment was Huahong Mahogany’s "grid" model, which became a popular subject for photographers and was widely shared online.
Special events and media coverage further elevated the event's profile. The Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Exhibition and the third "Gusu Cup" were among the main attractions. Renowned experts and craftsmen, including Chen Baoguang and Xu Jianping, participated in discussions and lectures, adding depth to the event. Over 40 media outlets, from Suzhou TV to Sina.com and China Classical Furniture Network, covered the event extensively, highlighting its significance in the industry.
Group visits from educational institutions and trade organizations made the exhibition even more popular. Universities from Wuxi, Henan, Shanghai, and Suzhou sent delegations to observe and learn, showing the event's growing influence in the academic and business communities.
As the first edition of this fair, it set a strong foundation for future events. The organizers aim to build on this success by improving services and quality, offering a better platform for redwood enterprises, dealers, and lovers of traditional Chinese lifestyle across the country. This event not only celebrated the beauty of mahogany but also inspired a deeper appreciation for Chinese craftsmanship and culture.
