This initiative is part of the Chengdu Overhaul Section under the Chengdu Railway Administration, aimed at enhancing employees' safety awareness and building a solid foundation for safe production. Each team conducts a “safety morning session,” using the time before the shift to repeatedly emphasize the safety rules and regulations issued by the bureau and department. The goal is to embed the concept of safe production into the minds of every employee, addressing potential risks at their root and preventing accidents like the “Lao An” incidents from occurring.

Based on past cases, many labor safety accidents occur due to thoughts like “I thought it was okay,” “It shouldn’t happen,” or “I didn’t know.” These mindsets often lead to irreversible consequences. Therefore, safety must be emphasized early, continuously reinforced, and deeply embedded in the minds of all workers. When safety becomes a natural way of thinking, it helps prevent accidents before they can take place.

Xiao Li, a new worker in the lathe group, shared his experience: “In daily operations, small safety details are often overlooked, which can create hidden dangers. I used to feel anxious about that. But now, the team reminds us of safety every day and goes over the operation procedures carefully. It helps me remember the safety rules and avoid mistakes.”

The “Safety Morning Session” has become an effective measure to prevent “Lao An” accidents. When every employee is familiar with safety regulations, understands safe working practices, and develops good habits, the occurrence of such incidents will significantly decrease. Safety is not just a rule—it’s a mindset that needs to be cultivated and maintained consistently.
