Near-electricity alarm (device): Electrical safety helmets are essential protective gear designed to ensure the safety of workers in environments where electrical hazards may be present. In addition to standard insulation protection, these helmets include a near-electricity warning function that alerts users when they are in proximity to live electrical sources below 400 volts. For voltages exceeding 400 volts, the helmet provides early warning based on distance from the power source. According to national standards, T4 class electrical safety helmets cannot offer full protection against voltages above 400 volts. High-voltage electricity, such as over 1 kV, poses serious risks, including electric discharges without direct contact. This is why the "near-electricity alarm" feature was introduced, offering a critical safety layer by alerting users before they get too close to dangerous electrical equipment.
The use of near-electricity alarm devices: When using a plastic safety helmet equipped with a near-electricity alarm, it's important to first set the voltage selection switch to the appropriate level. Then, press and hold the self-test button to ensure the device is functioning properly. If it emits a voice or sound signal, it is ready for use. These helmets can detect voltages ranging from 220 V up to 500 kV. Once worn, the helmet will automatically trigger an alarm—either through a loud beep or a voice message—when the user enters a pre-set voltage range. This serves as a crucial warning to avoid potential electric shocks and stay away from live electrical sources.
General electric alarm (safety helmet) usage: The alarm distance varies depending on the voltage level. For example: (1) 200-380 volt overhead power lines, the alarm activates at a distance of 0.4m-0.6m; (2) 10kV overhead power lines, the alarm triggers at 0.8m-1.0m; (3) 35kV overhead power lines, the alarm warns at 1.8m-2.0m. These distances help ensure that workers maintain a safe distance from high-voltage lines and reduce the risk of accidental contact.

Windows are optical glass with ground and polished faces that are relatively parallel. They are used to isolate two physical environments while allowing light to pass.Windows made of BK7 material have high transmission in the visible spectral region, do not scratch easily, do not degrade under normal operating environment and hence do not need any special precaution or treatment. Anti-Reflective Coating will provide higher transmission.
When selecting windows, you should consider the following: material, transmission, scattering, wave front distortion, parallelism and resistance to certain environment.
China Star Optics offers all types of windows made from different materials.Special size and materials are also available upon request. In addition, we provide a variety of single layer or multiplayer anti-reflecting coating on Optical Windows.Â
Specification of our optical windows as follow:
*Material: BK7,UV-grade fused silica (JGS1) or other optical crystals materials
*Length tolerance:+/-0.01
*Width tolerance:+/-0.01
*Center thickness tolerance:0.005mm
*Surface quality:80-50 to 10-5 Scratch/Dig
