SMS Siemag and ABB became the winners of the host equipment of the project. The formal signing of the project indicates that the technical transformation project of Southwest Aluminum Cold Tandem Rolling has entered a substantial implementation stage.

Xiao Yaqing said that since September 2005, Chinalco has determined that the world's metallurgical equipment manufacturers, SMS Siemag and ABB, have won the bid in accordance with the statutory procedures for international open tendering and in line with the principle of openness, fairness, impartiality, and good cost-effectiveness. Through the joint efforts of both Chinese and foreign parties, the preparatory work progressed smoothly.
