Fluorescent tones

A discharge lamp that emits phosphors mainly by ultraviolet radiation generated by discharge is called a fluorescent lamp.

The fluorescent lamp is mainly a low-pressure mercury vapor arc discharge lamp, and the electric energy consumed in the gas discharge is mainly converted into electromagnetic radiation in the range of ultraviolet fluorescent lamps (about 63% is converted into C-type ultraviolet radiation between 254-185 nm), and there are about 3 The % energy is directly converted into visible light during discharge, and its main wavelengths are 405 nm (blue-violet light), 436 nm (blue light), 456 nm (green light), and 577 nm (yellow light). Ultraviolet radiation is applied to the phosphor coating on the inner wall of the tube, and the energy of the ultraviolet light is absorbed by the fluorescent material, and a part of it is converted into visible light and released. The visible light emitted by a typical fluorescent lamp (including from the phosphor coating and directly emitted during discharge) is approximately equivalent to 28% of the energy in the input lamp. The light performance of a fluorescent lamp depends primarily on the geometry of the lamp, ie length and diameter, the type and pressure of the filling gas, the application of the phosphor and the manufacturing process.
