EU intends to substantially reduce anti-dumping duties on glass fiber in China

The European Commission imposed a temporary anti-dumping tariff of 43.6% on glass fiber made in China last year. According to EU diplomatic sources, when the five-year anti-dumping duty is implemented in mid-March, the tax rate will be reduced to less than 14%, and the member states Zhou will vote on this.

Diplomatic officials said that the plan for sharply lowering the tax rate is to respond to concerns that if higher tax rates are imposed, China will reduce the supply of glass fiber. In addition, sources said that there was new evidence that Chinese exporters selling fiberglass cheaply were not as serious as originally thought, and caused less damage to their European counterparts. Therefore, the European Commission intends to reduce tariffs.
