Taiwan's machine tool component exports exceeded 200 million

Taiwan Machine Tool Parts Export Analysis:

From January to May 2010, the export value of Taiwan's machine tool components was US$277.63 million, a growth of 105% over the same period of the previous year.

• First in the mainland and Hong Kong, with a total value of US$16.83 million, accounting for 57.9% of exports, a growth of 192% over the same period last year.

· The United States ranked second with an amount of US$17.79 million, accounting for 6.4% of exports, a 13.7% increase over the previous year.

Japan's third, the amount of 15.21 million US dollars, accounting for 5.5% of exports, an increase of 75.2% over the previous year.

· South Korea grew by 213%, Germany grew by 2.4%, Vietnam grew by 63.4%, India grew by 181%, Malaysia grew by 53.0%, Brazil grew by 144%, and Thailand grew by 30.2%. The top ten export markets accounted for 84.0% of Taiwan's export of machine tool components.

In recent years, a large number of Taiwan’s machine tool products have been exported, which has also driven the export of machine tool components. Advanced countries such as the United States, Japan, and Germany have adopted a large number of Taiwan’s spare parts in order to reduce costs. Newly-developed industrialized countries and developing countries plan to upgrade their machine tools. Competitiveness, such as the mainland, India, and Brazil, has sought to adopt Taiwan's components. Taiwan has become the most important supply base for machine tools and components other than Japan and Germany.
