Inner Mongolia started new coal production capacity of 53 million tons this year

The reporter learned from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission that in order to promote the adjustment and upgrading of the coal industry, Inner Mongolia plans to start a large number of large-scale modern coal development projects in 2011. At the same time, Inner Mongolia will accelerate the development of the modern coal chemical industry and extend the coal deep processing industry chain.

As one of the largest coal production bases in China, Inner Mongolia has a long-term reserve of 1.2 trillion tons of coal, and the proven coal reserves have reached more than 700 billion tons. In recent years, Inner Mongolia’s coal production has grown steadily and exceeded 700 million tons last year.

According to the plan, in 2011, Inner Mongolia will plan to start eight large-scale modernized coal development projects such as the Jilin Gule No. 2 open-pit mine and the Gaotouyao coal mine on the basis of eliminating outdated coal production capacity and accelerating the technological transformation of existing projects. The project design capacity is over 53 million tons.

In order to promote the sustainable development of the coal industry and realize the goal of 50% coal in situ processing as soon as possible, Inner Mongolia will continue to accelerate the development of modern coal chemical industry in 2011, extend the coal processing industry chain and increase the added value of products.

Among them, Inner Mongolia will continue to promote the construction of five national demonstration projects: coal-to-oil, coal-to-coal, coal-to-olefin, coal-to-dimethyl ether, and coal-to-ethylene glycol. The planned start-up of urea capacity is 5 million tons, and dimethyl ether is 3 million tons. , PVC production capacity of 1.5 million tons.
